Profile

Shyam Nandan Rai is an ELLIS PhD student jointly supervised by Prof. Barbara Caputo and Prof. Carlo Masone at VANDAL Lab, Polytechnic University of Turin, and Prof. Zeynep Akata at the Explainable Machine Learning group. He holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from IIIT, Hyderabad, and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication from IIIT, Sricity. His current areas of interest lie in the amalgamation of semantic segmentation and open-world understanding with applicability in autonomous navigation systems.
